Staff was directed to prepare an informational memorandum outlining the process for filling Council vacancies, and to schedule a Special Meeting no later than December 18, 2022, for Council to decide the process for filling Council seats vacated by the recent election beginning January 1, 2023. That meeting was held on December 5, 2022, when the City Council directed the opening of a recruitment to fill the unanticipated vacancies in Districts 8 and 10 by interim appointment to fill the office until a candidate has been duly elected and the results of COUNCIL AGENDA: 1/24/2023
