2.4 Mayor and Council Excused Absence Requests.
Recommendations:
Request for excused absences for Councilmember Cohen from the following Regular Meetings due to authorized City Business:
(a) City Council on March 21, 2023; and
(b) Joint Meeting for the Rules and Open Government Committee on March 22, 2023.

2.x Retroactive Travel Authorization for Councilmember Jimenez.
Recommendations:
(a) Retroactively authorize travel for Councilmember Jimenez to Washington, D.C. from March 24, 2023 to March 28, 2023 to attend the National League of Cities Congressional City Conference and the Sister Cities International Spring Leadership Meeting. (Source of Funds: District 2 Funds) (b) Excuse Councilmember Jimenez from the regular meeting of the City Council on March 28, 2023.

CITY MANAGER’S REQUESTS
2.x Retroactive Authorization for the 2022 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (Safer) Grant Application.
Recommendations:
Adopt a resolution retroactively authorizing the City Manager to apply for a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency/Department of Homeland Security for funding to add 14.0 Firefighter positions to the Fire Department.
