Subject: Reach Code Item 6.1

Dear Honorable Mayor and Honorable Councilmembers;

I see that Chris Burton requested this item to be deferred until April 25th.

This is in good response to the feedback he received from many in the development community last week.

I support the deferral and request a study session of the Reach Code “in toto” so that the actual impacts and costs and wastefulness can be address property.

This message is from outside the City email system. Do not open links or attachments from untrusted sources.

As you know, The Reach Code was initially passed during the Covid Lockdown Protocol period and many, if not most, did not have meaningful means to understand the implication of the Code.

Having said that, I believe that we (the San Jose development community) will have positive and meaningful thoughts that could make the code more logical, less wasteful and more affordable.

Kindest Regards,

Dennis

Dennis L. Randall, Jr.
