BACKGROUND
On February 1, 2005, the City Council adopted Resolution 72517 which requires Councilmembers to submit a memorandum to the Rules Committee regarding proposed City Council sponsored Special Events and the proposed use of any funds.

Longevity Walks were held on April 26th and May 31st at Westfield Valley Fair Mall and the Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Center. The events were sponsored by Councilmember Dev Davis.

These special events were an opportunity for residents to exercise and socialize with their neighbors and City Hall employees. One goal of these Longevity Walks was to strengthen the relationship between residents and City Hall employees while also prioritizing health by walking. Another goal was to immerse residents deeper into the city so they can know their streets and neighbors better. The events were free and open to the public.
