❑ A Public Safety Advisory (PSA) video was released via the Police Department's social platforms in June 2023.
❑ High-visibility patrols and enforcement were deployed using 2022 Hot Spot and real-time SJ311 dashboard data before and during the Fourth of July holiday. ❑ Road diversions were also utilized to reduce fireworks activity. ❑ Police partnered with Fire’s Arson Unit to successfully take enforcement action to recover 39,000 pounds of fireworks and arrest three illegal fireworks sales suspects. ❑ Police enforced $25 citations in adherence to the Social Host Ordinance for spectators actively observing illegal fireworks displays.
