A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JOSE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF
SANTA CLARA AND THE CITY OF SAN JOSE FOR
TERMINAL ACCESS AND NETWORK SUPPORT
RELATED TO THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA’S
CRIMINIAL JUSTICE INFORMATION CONTROL SYSTEM,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $283,725 FOR THE EXTENSION OF
THE AGREEMENT FOR THREE YEARS (JULY 1, 2023 TO
JUNE 30, 2026)
WHEREAS, the City of San Jose (“City”) desires to adopt this resolution for the reasons set forth in the memorandum dated September 11, 2023, from the Chief of Police Anthony Mata for the October 17, 2023, City Council meeting (“Memorandum”); and
WHEREAS, the City desires to execute a First Amendment to the Agreement with the County of Santa Clara;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JOSE THAT:
The City Manager or designee is hereby authorized to execute a First Amendment to the Agreement between the County of Santa Clara and the City for terminal access and network support related to the County of Santa Clara’s Criminal Justice Information Control (CJIC) System, in the amount of $283,725 for the extension of three years, from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2026.
