SUBJECT: UPDATE TO THE AUGUST – DECEMBER 2023 TRANSPORTATION
AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE WORK PLAN
RECOMMENDATION
Approve an amendment to the Transportation and Environment (T&E) Committee Work Plan to drop the following item from the November 6, 2023 T&E Committee meeting:
Coyote Corridor Study Status Report.
Purpose: Provide a status report on the Coyote Corridor Study process which is exploring flexibility on non-residential land uses on the east side of Monterey Highway, uses that would be compatible with the Agricultural and Open Space uses along the corridor. (Planning, Building and Code Enforcement)
BACKGROUND
Staff requests to drop the Coyote Corridor Study Status Report from the November 6, 2023, T&E Committee meeting. Work on the study is underway, with the initial set of deliverables from the consultant due later in the fall. Environmental review for this project has not yet commenced. Due to the strong land use component of this work, staff recommends adding this status report to the Community and Economic Development Committee’s work plan in spring 2024, after key deliverables have been submitted by the consultant. /s/
