RECOMMENDATION: Authorize travel for Mayor Mahan to join business tech leaders in Vancouver, Canada on April 7-9, 2024.

Purpose:
San Jose has ambitious plans to be net zero by 2030 and has made significant strides towards getting there. The purpose of this delegation is to tour some of the interesting things that Vancouver has done with its net-zero development and see if any of those lessons learned can be applied to San Jose. This delegation will be led by Bay Area Council CEO, Jim Wunderman, PG&E Patti Pope, and Urban Community Founder, Gary Dillabough. It will be a delegation of business tech leaders convening in Vancouver to glean new insights into ways San Jose can forward its green development goals.
