SERVICES AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE WORK PLAN
RECOMMENDATION
Approve an amendment to the January – June 2024 Neighborhood Services and Education (NSE) Committee Work Plan to drop the following item scheduled for the May 9, 2024, NSE Committee meeting:
• Blight Reduction Coordination with Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority Status Report.
Purpose: Provide a status report on the Memorandum of Understanding with Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) on blight reduction coordination. (Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services)
BACKGROUND
Staff requests to drop the Blight Reduction Coordination with Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority Status Report from the May 9, 2024 NSE Committee meeting. Staff needs additional time to negotiate and develop an agreement with Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority that fully addresses direction from the NSE Committee and City Council. Staff intends to bring the item back to the NSE Committee in fall 2024 pending approval of the August – December 2024 NSE Committee Work Plan.
