SUBJECT: Clarity on Issues Related to the Stormwater Permit
RECOMMENDATION
Agendize a discussion with San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board staff during the June 4th Council Meeting.
BACKGROUND
Vice Mayor Kamei and Councilmembers Jimenez, Ortiz, and Candelas recently had the opportunity to engage the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board (Water Board) staff directly regarding the Stormwater Permit review and approval process, including its impact on the City Budget. We believe the full Council would benefit from the same opportunity and to further gain insight and engage in an open dialogue with the Water Board.
The signers of this memorandum have not had, and will not have, any private conversation with any other member of the City Council, or that member’s staff, concerning any action discussed in the memorandum, and that each signer’s staff members have not had, and have been instructed not to have, any such conversation with any other member of the City Council or that member's staff.
