Memo - Updates to Committee Work Plans (PSFSS and NSE)
BACKGROUND
This memo requests to add an audit related to compliance with the City’s Encumbrance Policy (CPM 5.1.12) to the September 19, 2024, PSFSS committee agenda. This had not been previously added to the PSFSS work plan as it was unclear when the City Auditor’s Office (Office) could complete the project given budgetary impacts to the Office’s staffing level.
We also request dropping the Access to Critical Services by Traditionally Marginalized Communities audit report from the December 5, 2024, PSFSS Committee agenda, and adding it to the November 14, 2024, NSE Committee agenda. The scope of the project narrowed during the planning stage to focus on neighborhood blight programs and the NSE Committee is the more appropriate committee given the subject matter.
These changes have been discussed with the Administration and relevant departments.
