The Committee meeting was held in the Council Chambers. The meeting convened at 2:01 p.m.

A. City Council (City Clerk)
1. Review August 27, 2024 Final Agenda
Public Comments: None provided.
Action: Upon motion by Councilmember Dev Davis, seconded by Vice Mayor Rosemary Kamei, and carried unanimously, the Committee approved the final agenda for the City Council meeting on August 27, 2024. (4-0-1; Absent: Cohen)
2. Review September 3, 2024 Draft Agenda – Meeting cancelled. -2-
B. Consent Calendar
Public Comments: None provided.
Action: Upon motion by Councilmember Dev Davis, seconded by Vice Mayor Rosemary Kamei, and carried unanimously, the Consent Calendar was approved with the below actions taken as indicated. (4-0-1; Absent: Cohen)
1. The Public Record for August 8 - August 15, 2024. (City Clerk) The Public Record for August 8 - August 15, 2024 was received and filed.
2. Revised Rules and Open Government Committee Work Plan. (City Clerk) The revised Rules and Open Government Committee Work Plan for the period from July 2024 through June 2025 was approved.
3. Retroactive Approval of National Night Out Event and San José Fire Safety Workshop Sponsored by Council District 3 as City Council Sponsored Special Events to Expend City Funds and Accept Donations of Materials and Services for the Events. (Torres) The San José Fire Safety Workshop scheduled on June 29, 2024, and the National Night Out events at Mckinley, Roosevelt, Goodyear-Mastic, and Washington neighborhoods scheduled on August 6, 2024, sponsored by Council District 3, were approved for placement on the August 27, 2024 Council Agenda for action.
4. Approval of Multiple Special Events Sponsored by Council District 4 as City Council Sponsored Special Events to Expend City Funds and Accept Donations of Materials and Services for the Events. (Cohen)
The National Night Out scheduled on August 6, 2024, Mercado and Bruzzone Parks Grand Opening scheduled on August 24, 2024, Santos Family Car Show scheduled on August 31, 2024, and MidAutumn Festival scheduled on September 14, 2024, sponsored by Council District 4, were approved for placement on the August 27, 2024 Council Agenda for action.
