Subject: Supporting the BID for the Monterey Corridor
Dear Mayor Mahan and City Council Members:

I am writing to express my strong support for the proposed Business Improvement District (BID) for the Monterey Corridor. Sims Metal has had a business in the corridor for decades, and we believe this initiative will significantly enhance the vibrancy, safety, and economic prosperity of this vital area.

The Monterey Corridor is a cornerstone of San Jose, contributing to our city's diverse economy and cultural identity. By investing in a BID, we can unlock the full potential of this neighborhood. The proposed BID will provide essential services and improvements, such as:

Enhanced Security: Increased patrols and security measures will create a safer environment for businesses, residents, and visitors.

Improved Cleanliness: Regular cleaning and maintenance will enhance the overall appearance and appeal of the area.

Attractive Public Spaces: Beautification projects, including public art, will create inviting spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Marketing and Promotion: Targeted marketing campaigns will attract new businesses and customers to the Corridor.

By supporting the BID, we are investing in the long-term success of our city. The benefits will extend far beyond the Monterey Corridor, positively impacting the entire San Jose community.

I urge you to consider the many advantages of the BID and vote in favor of this important initiative.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Jill Rodby
Government Affairs and PR Manager – West Region
