5 CLIMATE ADAPTATION
AND RESILIENCE PLAN • Completed a comprehensive review of existing plans and policies to align with current resilience goals.
• Developed a preliminary vulnerability assessment,
identifying potential climate-related risks in specific city areas.
• Created a draft Citywide vision statement for climate resilience, forming a foundation for a unified
approach to climate challenges.
• Over the next few months: • Stakeholder engagement will begin via focus groups and a community survey.
• Continued partnerships with SPUR and Valley
Water.
• Internal coordination with PBCE, DOT, ED, PW,
and OEM.
• This item will be heard separately at the February 3, 2025, T&E Meeting.

7 RWF LAND USE/ CONSTRUCTION
COORDINATION • Staff from ESD, DOT, OEDCA, CMO, and PW
reviewed 11 capital construction projects in/near
the Regional Wastewater Facility over the next
decade.
• Identified the need for enhanced internal
coordination between departments.
• Key outcomes included: • Improved communication on land use priorities.
• Better understanding of overlapping project
timelines.
• De-conflicting roadway and traffic impacts
on plant operations and construction
projects.
• Provided a platform for staff to learn about
various projects and raise potential issues for
ongoing collaboration.
