ROGC AGENDA: 11/6/2024
ITEM: A.2
TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND

CITY COUNCIL
FROM: Councilmember Ortiz
SUBJECT: SEE BELOW DATE: October 31, 2024
Approved:

SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR DEFERRAL OF GOOD SAMARITAN LAND USE ITEM RECOMMENDATION:

1. Defer Consideration of the Planned Development Rezoning PDC22-132 & ER23- 041 to the December 17, 2024 Council meeting.

BACKGROUND
In light of the Planning Commission’s vote to reject the Good Samaritan Hospital Project’s Environmental Impact Report and accompanying rezoning due to concerns over conformance with the General Plan and insufficient community outreach, it is clear that more engagement with relevant stakeholders, including patients and local residents, is required to address these concerns before the Council can move forward confidently on this item.
