uthorize travel for the Independent Police Auditor, Eddie Aubrey, to attend the Association of Inspectors General (AIG) Annual Training Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 13 - 15, 2024.

rpose:
Mr. Aubrey will attend at the Association of Inspector General (AIG) conference in November 2024. Established in 1996, a group of state, local and federal inspectors general and academics recognized a need for an umbrella organization to represent the growing inspector general community and to establish standards and best practices for inspectors general and civilian oversight auditing offices. Its vision is to advance integrity and accountability in government through independent oversight. The 2024 AIG Annual Training Conference will focus on the “Art of Oversight,” offering a fresh perspective on the necessary agility, diversity, and mastery required of oversight professionals navigating dynamic landscapes. This year’s conference will focus on: auditing, report writing, independence, collaboration and accountability of law enforcement, sharpening skills for effective oversight, building engagement, interviewing, investigative planning, complaint intake, nontraditional approaches to building and/or maintaining effective oversight, ethics, and legal issues.

ce of Funds: There will be no cost to the Office of Independent Review outside of the authorized work time at the conference. Mr. Aubrey has voluntarily chosen to pay for all other costs (Hotel, Travel, Food) from his own personal funds.
