The purpose of travel is to attend the League of California Cities Policy Committee meeting. This meeting helps direct League policy by reviewing legislation, discussing policy direction and suggesting broad policy guidelines that impact the City of San Jose and the State of California.
Pursuant to Council Policy 9-5, Travel by Elected and Appointed City Officials, this travel falls as an allowable use under the Mayor/Council Travel Budget under F.4.d, The annual City-to-City trip sponsored by the Silicon Valley Organization (formerly San Jose/Silicon Valle Chamber of Commerce) when appointed by the Council or otherwise officially appointed to serve on such boards or committees.
