I am disgusted by the recent decision made by you all to approve the awful blight these digital billboards impose.
This is contrary to the City's environmental approach, adding more light pollution to an already overburdened night sky that needs darkening. Our avian populations are directly & irreversibly impacted by light pollution including bats, insects all threatened by light pollution. San Jose should be the city promoting dark Sky ordinances not money grabs polluting our night skies
It's a terrible way to add "character" that will just make San Jose look as tacky as Las Vegas, New York, Denver. City needs more
vibrancy add more natural spaces not blight.
After 4 decades of bans on billboards this appears to be a power grab to find easy money to fill coffers of those who paid your dinners and other perks.
Disgusted and ashamed of San Jose City Counsil becoming the blight of Bay Area.
I'll be taking my out of town guests elsewhere as San Jose has gone too far.
With disappointment,
Carrie Levin
