Subject: City Council Meeting Agenda - Item 3.3
Dear Mayor Mahan and City Council,
I urge you to support Councilmember Campos’s memorandum during the March 18th City Council meeting.
Councilmember Campos’s strategic and thoughtful recommendations include critical modifications the City needs to create a balanced budget. I share her concern about the addition of policy proposals that are not directly connected to the City’s core fiscal priorities and more immediate challenges. Specifically, Campos’s memorandum calls for concrete actions that the City Manager and our city leaders should take to jointly address homelessness and affordable housing initiatives, as well as to strategize resources for a General Plan Four-Year Review.
Please give the memorandum full consideration and support. If you have any additional questions or concerns regarding my letter, please contact my District Director at [email protected] or my district office at (408) 286-2535.
Thank you for your leadership, time, and consideration.
Sincerely,
Ash Kalra
California State Assemblymember, 25th District
