SUBJECT: Fourth Amendment to the Standard Consultant Agreement with DST Consulting Services for Grant and Contract Management
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a resolution authorizing the Housing Director, or his designee, to negotiate and execute a fourth amendment to an agreement with DST Consulting Services to extend the term from June 30, 2025, to June 30, 2026, and increase the maximum total contract value to $715,000 from $565,000.
BASIS FOR RECOMMENDATION
The City of San José is obligated under law to perform complex grant and contract management audits to ensure the proper stewardship of public funds, achieve performance goals and program compliance, and prepare reporting.
To complete these tasks, the City requires assistance from DST Consulting Services for specialized audit and compliance services. DST Consulting Services has been working with the Housing Department since October 2022, and this agreement amendment will allow DST Consulting Services to continue its current work until June 30, 2026. The maximum compensation will be increased to accommodate the workload. DST Consulting has the capacity and intricate knowledge to effectively and efficiently fulfill the various grant management-related projects that the City is required to complete.

COST AND FUNDING SOURCE
The recommended amendment to this agreement of $150,000 is funded by the Supportive Services appropriation in the Home Investment Partnership Program Trust Fund.
