2. Approval of Día de San Juan Salsa Festival Sponsored by Council District 1 as a City Council Sponsored Special Event to Expend City Funds and Accept Donations of Materials and Services for the Event. (Kamei)

1. Retroactively Approve the Talk with Batra scheduled on May 18, 2024, as a City Council sponsored Special Event and approve the expenditure of funds.
2. Approve the Talk with Batra scheduled on June 22, 2024, and July 20, 2024, as City Council sponsored Special Events and approve the expenditure of funds.
3. Approve the Fraud Prevention Workshop scheduled on May 29, 2024, as a City Council sponsored Special Event and approve the expenditure of funds.
4. Approve the All-Inclusive Playground Groundbreaking Event scheduled on June 24, 2024, as a City Council sponsored Special Event and approve the expenditure of funds.
5. Approve the Santa Teresa Dumpster Day scheduled on June 29, 2024, as a City Council sponsored Special Event and approve the expenditure of funds.
6. Approve the 4th of July Fireworks Festival scheduled on July 4, 2024, as a City Council sponsored Special Event and approve the expenditure of funds.
7. Place the item on the June 4, 2024 Council Agenda for action.
Action: The Special Events sponsored by Council District 10 were approved for placement on the June 4, 2024 City Council Agenda.
C. Rules Committee Reviews, Recommendations and Approvals
1. Improve the Quality of Life of Walnut Mobile Home Park Residents. (Jimenez)
1. To protect the health and safety and improve the quality of life of Walnut Mobile Home Park residents, direct the City Manager to cease the storage of all trash, illegal dumping, debris, and refuse at the DOT South Yard located at 4420 Monterey Rd, San Jose, CA 95111, no later than December 2024.
2. Direct the City Manager to find funding for operational changes needed to cease the storage of all trash, illegal dumping, debris, and refuse at the DOT South Yard in the 2024-2025 fiscal year budget. [Referred from 5/15/2024 - Item C.2 (ROGC 24-591)] Public Comment: None provided.
Andrea Flores Shelton, Assistant Director, Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services; and Rick Scott, Deputy Director, Department of Transportation, responded to questions from the Committee.
No action was taken on the item.
D. Open Forum
1. Blair Beekman expressed his desires to have Zoom public comment return, accessibility, and his move to Hawaii.
