Please support the memorandum from Cohen, Candelas, Vice Mayor Foley, and Mayor Mahan for today's Item 3.4 Purchase Order for Fire Apparatuses.

I'd like to thank the authors for their forward thinking, especially around Recommendation 4: explore more compact fire apparatuses. This would be an amazing step forward for our Vision Zero and active transportation goals, so that we can build narrower streets and intersections, with tighter turning radii. These changes allow us to slow vehicles to safer speeds, and leave more right-of-way for sidewalks and bikeways.

Thanks,
Jordan Moldow (speaking on his own behalf)
