DearCouncilMembera,
Learn why this is imP.ortant
Yes, the City of San Jose needs to update the system and code for housing. It is not feasible or just to impose that cost on the most vulnerable in our community. Please voice and vote in objection to the obvious monetary burden on owners of manufactured homes in the City of San Jose. The proposed 10% (ten percent) quote one time unquote fee would lower the actual value of the property for sale.
Each of you may not remember the disposal of livelihoods that have occurred in the past of San Jose from Santa Teresa to Winchester Avenue developers and purported real estate investors have long targeted the working families of San Jose with such proposals.
Please understand that infrastructure is everyone's burden that is what a sales tax is for and why Prop 13 is such a thorn in your proverbial budget.
Please do not be blinded by purported developers that had "success" in other metropolitan cities that also pushed out the elderly and working families.
Voice your opposition to any such quote one time unquote fee that is obviously an unfair tax and excessive monetary punishment.
Sincerely
Patricia Appelquist
