Councilmember Candelas will be participating in the American Public Transportation Association Legislative Conference, taking place April 12–14 in Washington, D.C. This conference provides a critical opportunity for local electeds to engage directly with federal lawmakers to discuss key legislative priorities, and advocate for policies that shape the future of public transportation.
Attendance at this conference supports the City’s interests by ensuring representation in federal policy discussions that impact local transit funding, infrastructure investment, and regional mobility initiatives. Councilmember Candelas will be attending in his capacity as a City of San José–appointed Director to the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority.
