Digital signage represents a prudent opportunity to generate non-aeronautical revenue for the airport while enhancing communications with visitors and promoting local businesses, attractions, and cultural institutions.

Such investments help support SJC and City’s long-term competitiveness and its continued role as a driver of economic vitality for the region.

Digital advertising is a prudent way to ensure SJC can continue to serve as our region’s destination airport and serve our important visitor economy. SSE supports the proposal for SJC to pursue this impactful project.

Best,

Chris Shay | Sr. Vice President for Government Affairs
San Jose Sharks

I consider these billboards visual blight and tnehy are distracting; I don't want to look at them.

The City lost the previous lawsuit in an attempt to award a no-bid contract to Clear Channel for the sites in question. Partnering with billboard companies will only invite more lawsuits and more billboards into our community.

the expense of the people proposing this. There is absolutely no benefit and much to loose with this proposal.

RE: Subject: June 23 Item 5.1: Reject Airport Billboards Proposal To All Concerned,
I urge the San Jose City Council to reject the memo recommending to award a contract to OutFront, to build two digital billboards next to the Guadalupe Riparian corridor and 101 freeway.
