Authorize travel for City Manager Jennifer Maguire to Tampa, Florida, on September 22 – 25, 2026, to participate in the San Jose Chamber of Commerce Annual City Study Mission.

Purpose: The San Jose Chamber of Commerce’s Study Mission trip is an annual gathering of key Silicon Valley business and community leaders to learn best practices and bring back ideas to make our community a better place to live and work. This year’s program features a 3-day intensive on-site tour for members and stakeholders to explore Tampa’s national model for sports- anchored economic development, vibrant waterfront activation, and intentional downtown investment. Through firsthand experiences and dialogue with local leaders, this Mission will offer San José decision-makers actionable ideas and strategic connections to help strengthen San José’s economy and sports and entertainment strategies for our community.
