SUBJECT: Quorum of City Council and Council Committee Meetings during Mayor and Councilmembers’ Travel to Tampa, Florida for the San José Chamber of Commerce Annual Study Mission during September 22-25, 2026 Council Policy 9-5, Travel by Elected and Appointed City Officials, provides in relevant part:
“Council may approve up to five (5) of its elected members to travel for Official or Unofficial Delegation Travel, as long as it does not result in cancellation of a Council or Council Committee meeting due to lack of quorum.”
