Evaluation
Examples
Leigh Avenue Corridor Safety Improvement Project
Reference Link
The repaving project reconfigured this section of
roadway by reducing the number of travel lanes
from four to two, adding a buffered bike lane,
and adding a center turn lane south of Stokes St. BEFORE AFTER 12 Reference Link
Leigh Avenue Corridor Safety Improvement Project
New design's impact on driver compliance with
speed limit postings
Moderate use increase with ridership highest around
Stokes St. where there is an existing east-west bikeway.
Counts were lowest around Hamilton Ave. which does
not have a bikeway.
