RECOMMENDATION
Set a Joint City of San José and Santa Clara Valley Water District Special Meeting on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. to be held at Valley Water’s Headquarters Building Boardroom, 5700 Almaden Expressway, San José, California, and approve the draft Special Meeting agenda.
PURPOSE
The Special Meeting will include updates on:
• El Niño Joint Messaging and Preparedness Efforts – to provide an update on the continued coordination to support the community in the case of flooding. • Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit Project and Coyote Creek Flood Protection Project – to provide an update on the Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit and Coyote Creek Flood Improvement projects.
• Pure Water Silicon Valley – to provide an update on the development of a potable reuse project to ensure the community is more drought resilient. • Future Items for Discussion - provide feedback to staff on future items for collaboration.
