SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL
EXECUTIVE SESSION MEETING
Mayor Farias called the February 20, 2024, Special Executive Session meeting of the City Council to order at 4:00 p.m., in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE: Mayor Sergio Farias, Mayor Pro Tem Troy Bourne, and Council Members John Taylor, and John Campbell.
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Howard Hart.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS/CORRESPONDENCE/PUBLIC COMMENT ON EXECUTIVE SESSION ITEMS:
Tom Hribar, City resident.
EXECUTIVE SESSION (610.85)
An Executive Session was held for the following purposes, as authorized by statute:
a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8, the City Council met with its Real Property Negotiators (Benjamin Siegel, City Manager; and Jeffrey Ballinger, City Attorney) concerning the price and terms of payment concerning certain real property located 31421 La Matanza Street, also known as the TJ Meadows Building. Negotiating party: The Fiesta Association.
b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d) (4), the City Council conferred with Legal Counsel to discuss initiation of litigation (1 item). c. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 (a), (d)(2), the City Council conferred with Legal Counsel to discuss anticipated litigation – significant exposure to litigation (1 item).
ANNOUNCEMENT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION ACTIONS: None.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Mayor Farias adjourned the meeting to Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. for a Public Business Session, in the City Council Chamber at the Nydegger Building – 31421 La Matanza Street.
