SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL
EXECUTIVE SESSION MEETING
Mayor Pro Tem Bourne called the April 16, 2024, Regular Executive Session meeting of the City Council to order at 3:03 p.m., in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE: Mayor Sergio Farias (arrived shortly after commencement), Mayor Pro Tem Troy Bourne, and Council Members Howard Hart, John Taylor, and John Campbell (arrived shortly after commencement).
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: None.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS/CORRESPONDENCE/PUBLIC COMMENT ON EXECUTIVE SESSION ITEMS: None.
EXECUTIVE SESSION (610.85)
An Executive Session was held for the following purposes, as authorized by statute:
a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957, the City Council conducted a performance evaluation of the City Manager.
b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 (a), (d)(2), the City Council conferred with Legal Counsel to discuss anticipated litigation – significant exposure to litigation (2 items).
c. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d) (4), the City Council conferred with Legal Counsel to discuss initiation of litigation (2 items).
ANNOUNCEMENT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION ACTIONS: Council Member Taylor recused himself from one of the items on Executive Session B.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Mayor Farias adjourned the meeting to Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. for a Public Business Session, in the City Council Chamber at the Nydegger Building – 31421 La Matanza Street.
