SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL
EXECUTIVE SESSION MEETING
Mayor Farias called the May 7, 2024, Special Executive Session meeting of the City Council to order at 3:30 p.m., in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE: Mayor Sergio Farias and Council Members Howard Hart, John Taylor, and John Campbell.
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Mayor Pro Tem Troy Bourne.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS/CORRESPONDENCE/PUBLIC COMMENT ON EXECUTIVE SESSION ITEMS: None.
EXECUTIVE SESSION (610.85)
An Executive Session was held for the following purposes, as authorized by statute:
a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 (a), (d)(2), the City Council conferred with Legal Counsel to discuss anticipated litigation – significant exposure to litigation (3 items).
b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d) (4), the City Council conferred with Legal Counsel to discuss initiation of litigation (1 item). c. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8, the City Council met with its Real Property Negotiators (Benjamin Siegel, City Manager; and Jeffrey Ballinger, City Attorney) concerning the price and terms of payment concerning certain real property located at 29932 Camino Capistrano, APN 650-023-08 and 650-023-09.
Negotiating Party: Farmakis Farms, LLC.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION ACTIONS: None.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Mayor Farias adjourned the meeting to Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. for a Public Business Session, in the City Council Chamber at the Nydegger Building – 31421 La Matanza Street.
