SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL
EXECUTIVE SESSION MEETING
Mayor Pro Tem Bourne called the December 17, 2024, Special Executive Session meeting of the City Council to order at 3:32 p.m., in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE: Mayor Pro Tem Troy Bourne and Council Members Member John Campbell, Howard Hart and John Taylor.
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Mayor Sergio Farias.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS/CORRESPONDENCE/PUBLIC COMMENT ON EXECUTIVE SESSION ITEMS:
Public Comment: Tom Hribar, City resident.
EXECUTIVE SESSION (610.85)
An Executive Session was held for the following purposes, as authorized by statute:
a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8, the City Council met with its Real Property Negotiators (Benjamin Siegel, City Manager; and Jeffrey Ballinger, City Attorney) concerning the price and terms of payment concerning certain real property located at the northeast corner of La Novia Avenue and San Juan Creek Road, APNs 666-013-03, 04, and 06 and 666-042-10 and 11. Negotiating party:
The Ecology Center.
b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 (a), (d)(2), the City Council conferred with Legal Counsel to discuss anticipated litigation – significant exposure to litigation (2 items).
c. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d) (4), the City Council conferred with Legal Counsel to discuss initiation of litigation (1 item).
ANNOUNCEMENT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION ACTIONS: None.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Mayor Pro Tem Bourne adjourned the meeting to Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. for a Public Business Session, in the City Council Chamber at the Community Center – 25925 Camino Del Avion.
