RESOLUTION NO. 2022-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL
APPROVING THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO’S APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022-2023
WHEREAS, Article XIII of the California Constitution and Section 7900 et seq. of the California Government Code requires cities to adopt limits on appropriations for each fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City’s Gann Appropriation Limit has been calculated for 2022-2023 and is set forth in that certain document Gann Appropriation Limitation Calculation for 2022- 2023, Attachment 2, attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the staff report and the related documentation has been made available to the public as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council hereby RESOLVES as follows:
1. The adjustment factors elected for calculating the Gann Appropriation Limit are the Non-Residential Property Assessed Valuation growth rate at 7.57% and the percentage rate of change in population within the County at -0.62%, and
2. The Appropriation Limit for 2022-2023 is established at $298,248,575.
