RESOLUTION NO. 2022-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO RECEIVE
THE ANNUAL RENT REVIEW ORDINANCE AND TENANT RELOCATION
ORDINANCE PROGRAM EVALUATIONS FOR JULY 2018 - JUNE 2022 WHEREAS, the Rent Review Ordinance was adopted by City Council in 2001 and most recently amended in 2016 with the goal of providing a public forum for both property owners/managers and tenants to compromise on rent increases and building conditions; and WHEREAS, the Tenant Relocation Assistance Ordinance was adopted by City Council in 2017 to mitigate the impacts of displacement from “landlord-caused” terminations of tenancy or by a rent increase of greater that 12% within a 12-month period; and WHEREAS, the City Housing Division seeks to present summary data on the call volume and depth of services callers seek with regard to securing healthy and stable housing; and WHEREAS, the City Housing Division seeks to present summary data on the rental housing market excerpted from the current Draft Housing Element for 2023-2031.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the City Council receives the Annual Rent Review Ordinance and Tenant Relocation Ordinance Program Evaluations and Annual Reports for July 2018 - June 2022.
