All Committee members agree to the changes regarding the City Manager's purchasing thresholds and authority with a caveat regarding sole source justification pertaining to contracts and work to be done within the City.
2.E. 22-635 Discussion Regarding Biennial Budget Calendar for 2023-24 and 2024-25

Council Member Lopez suggested to have the community town hall meetings at different locations, times and districts to get more engagement from the community, and to rename the town hall meetings to be "road shows" so it's not so formal. Another suggestion is to also include some educational information so the Public gets informed on the process and all the factors that is involved in the budget.
Council Member Lopez also suggested regular updates from the department heads to present to the Council to keep them informed and to have the sessions maybe recorded and posted on the website for transparency for the Public.

Mayor Cutter suggested bringing back the "Budget and Briefs" pamphlets and results from the surveys to be presented and given to the Public.
Council Member Lopez suggested bringing back the San Leandro TV broadcasting and to offer the recordings on the City's website.
Council Member Lopez requested that all items presented to the Public to be in multilingual languages.
