WHEREAS, City Council deferred all Police vehicle replacements in Fiscal Year 2020- 2021; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes procuring ten vehicles, including the equipment needed to outfit each; and
WHEREAS, Staff learned that due to a limited number of days for ordering because of a variety of reasons and factors, including a current shortage in Police Fleet Patrol Vehicles due to lack of production, staff would need to sole source purchase the vehicle order.

WHEREAS, the outfitting of the new vehicles will be completed by Priority 1 Public Safety Inc., and

That the ten replacement vehicles may be purchased from Future Chevrolet and outfitted to police department specifications, for a sum not to exceed $864,774.00; and That the procurement from Future Chevrolet and Priority 1 Public Safety, Inc. are justified as a sole source purchase under Cal. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the said purchase agreement(s) and all other documents related to the purchase.
