1 Winter Storm Damage
• Two slides occurred during the New Years Eve Winter Storm:
oHSD1 - Slope behind 2112 and
2126 (vacant lot) Hillside Drive
oHSD2 - Slope behind 2150

2 Current Work on Slope
• City repaired broken pipe and installed temporary
erosion control (both locations) to protect life and
property.
• This is not a permanent repair.
3 Responsibility
• Slides are on private property
• Slides are within the limits of GHAD formed circa
1998
• GHAD has no revenue, has no existing funds, and thus
has no responsibilities.
• No public improvements are impacted.
Repair is the responsibility of the property owners.
4 Next Steps
• Send a letter to all 26 properties within GHAD informing them of the damage and that the City is willing to facilitate establishment of an assessment to repair the damage. Letter will ask for a response indicating interest in such an assessment.
• Send a letter to 3 properties with slide damage informing them that without funding for the GHAD they are responsible for repairing their property.
