RESOLUTION NO. 2023-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL
APPROVING THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO’S APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024
WHEREAS, Article XIII of the California Constitution and Section 7900 et seq. of the California Government Code requires cities to adopt limits on appropriations for each fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City’s Gann Appropriation Limit has been calculated for 2023-2024 and is set forth in that certain document Gann Appropriation Limitation Calculation for 2023- 2024, Attachment 2, attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the staff report and the related documentation has been made available to the public as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council hereby RESOLVES as follows:
1. The adjustment factors elected for calculating the Gann Appropriation Limit are the State Department of Finance Per Capita Personal Income growth rate at 4.44% and the percentage rate of change in population within the County at -0.47%, and
2. The Appropriation Limit for 2023-2024 is established at $310,026,805.
