RESOLUTION NO. 2023-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO.2 TO THE EXISTING
CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BUILDING FUTURES WITH WOMEN AND CHILDREN
FOR MOBILE OUTREACH TO THE UNHOUSED AND EMERGENCY HOUSING SUPPORT,
INCLUDING INTERIM HOUSING
WHEREAS, Building Futures with Women and Children (BFWC) has provided homeless services in the City of San Leandro for many years; and WHEREAS, an agreement dated July 1, 2022 exists between the City of San Leandro and BFWC; and
WHEREAS, an amendment No. 1 was adopted on March 6, 2023 between the City of San Leandro and BFWC; and
WHEREAS, the City seeks to amend its existing agreement with BFWC so that BFWC may provide interim housing to some of San Leandro’s most vulnerable unhoused; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of the proposed amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
1. The said use of existing additional appropriations, coupled with previously appropriated funds associated with the prior agreement are approved such that the not exceed amount of the contract shall be $835,665; and
2. That said consulting services agreement amendment and the funding for the same are hereby approved and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents to effectuate this resolution.
