RESOLUTION NO. 2023-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH INTERCARE HOLDINGS INSURANCE SERVICES, INC. FOR WORKERS’ COMPENSATION THIRD PARTY CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION SERVICES THROUGH JUNE 30, 2026 FOR A TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $577,408 WHEREAS, the agreement with Intercare Holdings Insurance Services, Inc. for workers’ compensation third party claims administration services was approved and authorized by the City Manager on April 17, 2017 for a total not to exceed amount of $365,134; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the agreement was approved during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic to continue workers’ compensation services until June 30, 2023; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue its relationship with Intercare Holdings Insurance Services, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $577,408; and WHEREAS, the City has sufficient funding available; and WHEREAS, Intercare Holdings Insurance Services, Inc. has agreed to the terms of the agreement amendment pending Council approval; and
WHEREAS the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement and the amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows:
That said amendment to the current agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
