RESOLUTION NO. 2023-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NON-PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR A NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $751,200.00 WITH PRIORITY 1 PUBLIC SAFETY EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION INCORPORATED,
FOR MAINTAINING, SERVICING, AND OUTFITTING EXISTING POLICE VEHICLES TO MATCH
EQUIPMENT PRESENTLY IN USE IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S FLEET WHEREAS, the City annually replaces police vehicles according to a 10-year replacement schedule; and
WHEREAS,the City outfits the replacement vehicles with proper Code 3 equipment pursuant to California Vehicle Code specifications; and
WHEREAS, staff identified and is currently using a service provider that can outfit to police specifications, maintain, and service all Police Department vehicles; and WHEREAS, staff identified Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment asitsservice provider: and WHEREAS, the City desires to continue its relationship with Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment through June 30, 2025 in an amount not to exceed $751,200.00; and WHEREAS, a corresponding appropriation for this proposed agreement is already incorporated into the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 and Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget adopted on May 15, 2023; and WHEREAS, Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment has agreed to the terms of the contract pending Council approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council isfamiliar with the contentsthereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That in accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 3400(c)(2), a sole source purchase finding is made and justified to match equipment currently in use; and That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
