RESOLUTION NO. 2023-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL APPROPRIATING FUNDING FOR WASHINGTON MANOR PARK POOL RENOVATION, PROJECT NO. 2023.3400 (PROVIDES
FUNDING FOR ANNUAL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS TO THE FAMILY AQUATIC CENTER
POOL, DECK, AND PLAY EQUIPMENT)
WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro Council has a goal to maintain and enhance infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, the City has a policy to prioritize repair of existing items over construction of new items; and
WHEREAS, the Washington Manor Park Pool, also known as the Family Aquatic Center, is currently closed and requires repair before it can reopen to the public; and WHEREAS, funding for ongoing maintenance is required to keep the facility in operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the Washington Manor Park Pool Renovation shall include repair and replacement of items as recommended in the staff report for this resolution.
That $5,200,000 is appropriated for Washington Manor Park Pool Renovation from the General Fund to account 210-62-002.
That $5,200,000 is removed from the existing appropriation for Family Aquatic Center Competition Pool in account 210-62-130 and returned to the General Fund.
