RESOLUTION NO. 2023-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND
AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NON-PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH AERI TREE SERVICES, LLC, FOR BOULEVARD YARWOOD SYCAMORE TREE TRIMMING FOR $111,435.00 AND TO NEGOTIATE AND APPROVE CUMULATIVE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS UP TO 15% OR $16,715.00 OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT FOR A TOTAL NOT-TOEXCEED AMOUNT OF $128,150.00 WHEREAS, Bid No. 22-23.015 was issued on May 16, 2023, and WHEREAS, On June 6, 2023, fourteen bids were received, with AERI Tree Services, LLC being the lowest bidder, and
WHEREAS, change orders to modify bid quantities or to respond to unexpected conditions are a normal aspect of public contracting; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement, and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement, and WHEREAS, funds exists in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget for this work.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized, and That the City Manager is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative contract amendments up to 15% of the original contract amount, or $16,715, and That an original executed agreement shall be attached and made part of this resolution.
