IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2023-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO AUTHORIZE CHANGES TO THE ADOPTED BUDGET STAFFING ALLOCATION FOR FY 2024 AND FY 2025 WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 biennial budget on May 15, 2023; and
WHEREAS, adding a Recreation and Parks Director position will oversee a recreation and parks department that combines recreation programs with park and urban landscape maintenance; and WHEREAS, adding a Public Works Services Director position will manage the operations and activities of park and urban landscape maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director will oversee the combined functions of the Public Works Department and the Engineering and Transportation Department, resulting in the elimination of the Engineering and Transportation Director position; and
WHEREAS, these staffing changes will better meet the needs and expectations of the organization and community, and achieve an efficient organizational structure and optimized staffing.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows:
That the addition of a Recreation and Parks Director position, addition of Public Works Services Manager, and the elimination of the Engineering and Transportation Director position to FY 2024 and FY 2025 Adopted Budget Staffing Allocation is approved.
