RESOLUTION NO. 2023-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NON-PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH RUBICON LANDSCAPE CORPORATION FOR CITYWIDE MEDIAN MAINTENANCE FOR A TERM OF 5 YEARS WITH TWO (2) ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OPTIONS FOR A CUMULATIVE 5-YEAR TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $1,994,353.08 WHEREAS, on May 24, 2023, the City issued Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 60668 for Citywide median and City facility landscape maintenance services; and WHEREAS, on July 11, 2023, the City received six (6) proposals from qualified landscape maintenance companies; and
WHEREAS, Rubicon Landscape Corporation was deemed the most qualified company to perform median maintenance and weed abatement services based on its proposal, interviews, pricing and references; and WHEREAS, the agreement includes annual adjustments for cost increases and a 2.5% contingency for unanticipated work; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized, and
That the City Manager is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative contract amendments up to
2.5% of the original contract amount each year of the contract; and That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made part of this resolution.
