IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-
RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH
AMAZON SERVICES, LLC (AMAZON BUSINESS) FOR THE USE OF ONLINE MARKETPLACE FOR PURCHASES OF
VARIOUS GOODS, UTILIZING THE OMNIA PARTNERS COOPERATIVE CONTRACT WHEREAS, Amazon Business provides a unique government account that streamlines online purchasing for local, state, and federal government en��es; and
WHEREAS, membership with Amazon Business would benefit the City in a variety of ways, including monitored compliance in areas such as, ensuring purchases are within the Purchasing Policy and Local Vendor purchasing preferences, SB1383 – 30% Post-Consumer Purchases of Recycled Paper Products, State Mandated Regula�ons, and pricing discounts; and
WHEREAS, par�cipa�on in the OMNIA Partners coopera�ve contract purchasing opportunity presents both �me and money savings for the City by consolida�ng numerous individually prepared solicita�ons to one coopera�vely shared process and by the aggrega�on of demand from members na�onwide.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That a contract not to exceed $300,000 is approved and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary with Amazon Services, LLC (Amazon Business) for the use of its online marketplace for purchases of various goods, u�lizing the OMNIA Partners Coopera�ve Contract.
