1. The meeting was called to order at 6:03 pm.
Mayor Gonzalez led the Pledge of Allegiance.

City Clerk Clancy created a random order for the interviews:
Sulema Hernandez, Pcyeta Stroud, Sbeydeh Viveros-Walton, David Anderson and Ken Pon
Candidates were escorted to Sister Cities Gallery to be sequestered until their interview time. Members of the public were allowed to remain in the Chambers. 24-047 City Council Interviews of Applicants and Selection Process for City Councilmember, District 1

Councilmember Aguilar nominated Sulema Hernandez, Councilmember Bowen nominated Sbeydeh Viveros-Walton, Councilmember Simon nominated David Anderson, and Mayor Gonzalez nominated Ken Pon
City Clerk Clancy did a random order drawing for Round 1 nomination votes:

No nominee received a majority vote. The Mayor rescinded Ken Pon's Nomination and nominated Pcyeta Stroud.
There was a motion by Councilmember Aguilar and a Second by Mayor Gonzalez to extend the meeting to 11:00 pm. Motion passed Unanimous, 6-0.
The City Clerk did a random order drawing for Round 2 nomination votes:

At 10:59 pm there was a motion by Councilmember Azevedo and a Second by Councilmember Ballew to extend the meeting to 11:30 pm. Motion failed 3-3 with Councilmembers Aguilar & Ballew and Mayor Gonzalez voting no.
There was a motion by Mayor Gonzalez to Adjourn and a Second by Councilmember Azevedo. Motion failed 3-3 with Councilmembers Aguilar & Bowen and Vice Mayor Simon voting no.
There was another motion by Councilmember Aguilar and a Second by Councilmember Simon to extend the meeting to 11:30 pm. Motion failed 3-3 with Councilmembers Azevedo & Ballew and Mayor Gonzalez voting no.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:03 pm.
