RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXX
RESOLUTION APPROVING A THREE-YEAR CONTRACT FOR AUDIT SERVICES WITH MAZE AND ASSOCIATES, A CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTING AND CONSULTING FIRM, FOR THE FISCAL YEARS ENDING 2023-2024 THROUGH 2025-2026, FOR AN AGGREGATE TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $345,403, WITH AN
OPTION TO EXTEND AUDITING SERVICES FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWO FISCAL YEARS, BY WRITTEN
AGREEMENT AND AT THE OPTION OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro, on August 21, 2023, issued RFP #61236 to solicit proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit the financial statements of the City for fiscal years 2023- 2024 through fiscal year 2025-2026; and
WHEREAS, Finance Department Staff, using predetermined criteria, interviewed all respondents by virtual meetings, checked client references, checked the State Board of Accountancy for any actions taken against the firms, and interviewed the top candidates in person; and WHEREAS, the staff recommendations were reviewed and approved by the Finance Director on December 13, 2023; and
WHEREAS, an Agreement between the City of San Leandro and Maze and Associates, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, has been presented to this Council; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That said agreement for an aggregate contract total amount not to exceed $345,403 is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is authorized.
