IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT WITH THE PORT OF OAKLAND FOR BIOGAS/RENEWABLE NATURAL GAS UTILIZATION WHEREAS, the City wishes to sell renewable natural gas (RNG) produced at the Water Pollution Control Plant; and
WHEREAS, the Port of Oakland wishes to purchase RNG produced at the Water Pollution Control Plant; and
WHEREAS, a proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) regarding biogas/renewable natural gas utilization is presented to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That said Memorandum of Agreement with the Port of Oakland for biogas/renewable natural gas utilization is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; That the City Manager is authorized to take all necessary actions to advance or effectuate the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
